2008 Community Report

Despite uncertain economic conditions and other fundraising challenges, we have achieved a moderate surplus. Prudent measures, community confidence in our Mission and leadership and the knowledge that cancer impacts our loved ones and communities has sustained us.

An additional $1.7 million in funds for two major cancer prevention initiatives were received and dispensed through BC Healthy Living Alliance collaboration. The Society implemented a Tobacco Free Workplace program and a Community Capacity Building Strategy.
